As part of its development strategy in West Africa, ACTIA Energy conducted a prospecting mission in Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d’Ivoire, to support local stakeholders in the modernization and digitalization of electricity grids. This initiative is part of a strong commitment to contribute to more reliable, more efficient energy infrastructures adapted to the region’s challenges.
Côte d’Ivoire, a key player in the regional energy transition
Côte d’Ivoire holds a strategic position in West Africa regarding energy. Facing growing electricity needs and service continuity challenges, ACTIA Energy chose Abidjan as an anchor point to engage with institutions.
This mission addressed issues related to grid reliability, power outages, and the need for modern technological solutions to support the country’s development. By 2030, Côte d’Ivoire aims to increase its electricity production capacity to 5,000 MW, with 42% renewable energy, to consolidate its role as a regional energy hub and support sustainable growth.
Solutions to modernize and secure electricity grids
During its engagement in Côte d’Ivoire, ACTIA Energy presented its offerings dedicated to the modernization of electrical resources, with a particular focus on:
- grid digitalization,
- optimization of infrastructure management,
- securing the power supply (Digital Protections, LV Distribution, Connectivity Solutions)
These solutions aim to address the operational challenges faced by grid operators, while supporting the energy transition undertaken by the country.
Grid digitalization as a response to power outages
ACTIA Energy highlights the digitalization of the electricity grid as a concrete response to the issues of unexpected outages. The proposed solutions enable better supervision, faster incident detection, and optimized management of energy flows, thus contributing to a sustainable improvement in service quality.
A prospecting mission focused on local collaboration
ACTIA Energy’s engagement in Côte d’Ivoire alongside Business France, is part of a cooperative approach with local stakeholders. The objective is to build lasting partnerships by offering solutions adapted to the realities of the Ivorian grid and national ambitions for energy transition.
