The CIP9035 Substation Interface Calculator is a modular RTU designed for remote control and supervision of electrical networks. It is compatible with IEC 60870-5-104, IEC 61850 and Modbus RTU.

The CIP9035, a Substation Interface Calculator installed in HV Electrical substations, is a remote terminal unit (RTU) that provides:

  • Acquisition of digital protection data in Modbus or IEC 61850 communication protocol
  • Acquisition of wired data from the Electrical substations
  • Transmission of data to supervision centres via IEC 60870-5-104 communication protocol
  • Control of protection devices in Modbus or IEC 61850 communication protocol and wired

The CIP9035 acts as a gateway between the control bay equipment (Control substation: protection equipment) and the SCADA supervision systems of the control station (Control Centre).

The CIP9035 Substation Interface Calculator is modular and can integrate:

  • Up to 2 CPU modules if CPU card redundancy is required
  • Several power supply modules if power redundancy is required or depending on the power required by the other modules in the equipment
  • Several modules for acquiring and controlling digital inputs/outputs (D/I)
  • Modules for acquiring and controlling analogue inputs/outputs -20mA/+20mA

With its multiple embedded communication protocols, the CIP9035 can manage different types of data (Digital Inputs (DI), Analog Inputs (AI), Digital Outputs (DO), Analog Setpoint (AS)) with different types of networks (Modbus RTU, IEC 61850, Wired).
